Do I need a Twilio account for SMS follow-ups?

FollowFire uses Resend for reliable email delivery. The platform includes pre-configured email infrastructure — you don't need to set up Resend separately unless you want to use a custom sending domain (e.g., replies from your own business email address).

What data format does the webhook accept?

FollowFire is a first-responder tool — its goal is to acknowledge the lead instantly and warm them up for a human conversation. What happens to a lead after I mark them as converted?

Converted leads are tracked in your Revenue Widget, which calculates estimated revenue based on your average deal value. The lead is removed from the active follow-up sequence and marked as won in your dashboard. You can view all conversion stats in the Analytics section.

How does the annual plan billing work?

Annual plans are billed upfront for 12 months at a discounted rate (equivalent to paying for 10 months). If you cancel an annual plan early, refunds are prorated for unused months.

FollowFire accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) via Stripe. We do not currently accept PayPal, ACH, or invoicing.

What happens if I exceed my plan's lead limit?

If you're on the Starter plan and exceed 50 leads/month, FollowFire will notify you by email. You can upgrade to Pro for unlimited leads at any time. Leads received over the limit are queued and not dropped — you won't miss any inquiries.

My test lead didn't show up in the dashboard — what's wrong?

First, confirm you've pasted the correct webhook URL into your form builder. Then check that your form builder is actually sending a webhook (not just an email notification). In your FollowFire Settings, use the 'Send test lead' button to verify the connection directly. If the test lead appears but the real form doesn't, check your form builder's webhook configuration.

I'm not receiving AI follow-up emails — what should I check?

Check your spam/junk folder first. If the test email reached your inbox but follow-up emails don't, verify that your notification email is set correctly in Settings. Also confirm your Resend configuration is active in the Integrations section of your dashboard.

SMS follow-ups aren't sending — how do I fix this?

SMS requires a valid Twilio account with a purchased phone number and active credentials. In your Vercel environment variables, verify TWILIO_ACCOUNT_SID, TWILIO_AUTH_TOKEN, and TWILIO_FROM_NUMBER are set correctly. Also ensure you've completed Twilio's A2P 10DLC registration if you're sending to US numbers in volume.

My lead data is missing fields (name, phone, etc.) — why?

FollowFire maps common field names automatically (name, email, phone, message). If your form uses custom field names, the data may arrive under different keys. Check your form builder's webhook payload format and reach out to support@followfire.app with your payload structure — we can help configure custom field mapping.

Question 29

The dashboard shows 'Integration Error' for Resend or Twilio — what does that mean?

This means FollowFire couldn't connect to the Resend or Twilio API using your current credentials. Go to your Vercel project → Settings → Environment Variables and verify your API keys are correct and have not expired. After updating, redeploy your project for the changes to take effect.
